2019 Jeep Cherokee: The base-level trim of the new Cherokee starts at $24,195 MSRP. This vehicle is available in seven different trims: Latitude, Latitude Plus, Altitude, Trailhawk®, Limited, High Altitude, and Overland.
2019 Jeep Compass: The Compass is a more affordable option that comes in at just $21,845 MSRP. This model and is also available in seven trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Upland, Altitude, Limited, Trailhawk®, and High Altitude.
FWD is the standard drivetrain included in each of these SUVs, but 4×4 systems (Jeep Active Drive I for the Cherokee and Selec-Terrain® for the Compass) are available in upgraded trims.
The ability to tow at a higher capacity can surely be a deciding factor when it comes to which SUV Pottsville drivers want to buy. With the Jeep Compass vs. Jeep Cherokee, towing capability is a major difference between the two models, as is their performance of their available engines:
2019 Jeep Cherokee: If you buy a new Jeep Cherokee, you’ll get an SUV capable of towing a maximum of 4,500 pounds. You will also have the option of three engines, including the base-level 2.4L I4 MultiAir® engine.
Jeep Compass: In terms of towing capability for the Jeep Compass, its max capacity caps off at 2,000 pounds, although the manufacturer recommends you do not tow with the FWD system. The only available engine option for the Compass is the same as the Cherokee’s base engine, a 2.4L I4 MultiAir®.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk®: With a starting MSRP of $29,195, the Compass Trailhawk® comes stock with a singularly available 2.4L 180-hp I-4 engine
